This is a post from my colleague Mike Vizard. He’ll be blogging on his own site in a bit.

One of the benefits of being part of the Schneider family of companies is that APC can now reach out to a lot of sources for products, one of them being a German company named Stolz that makes air conditioning products for data centers.

According to company insiders at Cebit this week, APC plans to replace its FM line of air conditioning products with a line of products manufactured by Stoltz, which has an ongoing reseller partnership with APC and Schneider. According to the APC insiders, the Stoltz product line will allow APC to be a lot more competitive from a pricing point of view against rival Liebert.

Separately, APC at Cebit this week will announce Smart-UPS RT 15kVA and 20kVA power protection models in a 12U size for rack or tower installations.
