EMC this week will unveil EMC Centera Chargeback Reporter and EMC Centera Seek, advanced search and reporting tools for use with active enterprise archives created by EMCs Centera CAS (content addressed storage) technology.

EMC Centera Chargeback Reporter boosts speed and accuracy when generating chargeback reports for corporate billing systems by leveraging stored metadata, said EMC officials.

Capable of access by more than 170 applications from ISVs that have integrated with a Centera API, EMC Centera Seek uses metadata to search multiple terabytes of fixed content for more precise information stored in a Centera deployment.
