Banking online continues to grow in popularity. To help retail banks build and integrate applications to support multiple customer channels, IBM this month announced updated WebSphere software to enable integration of Internet banking, branch teller terminals and mobile devices.

The WebSphere Business Components Composer Version 4.1.2 integration framework, which supports multiple customer channel integration, is available now. The new version allows retail banks to share information across channels, which helps them better understand customer needs and tailor their products, according to IBM officials in Armonk, N.Y.

Components Composer 4.0.3, used in conjunction with WebSphere Business Components Composer, helps networks of bank branches become retail banking e-businesses by enabling integration with retail banks.
