Windows Live Spaces users have been on a rampage since August 1, when Microsoft rolled out the final version of its Windows Live Spaces blogging/social-networking service. On August 2, Microsoft officials acknowledged on The Space Craft Live Spaces blog that they were aware of performance, rendering and other issues and working to fix them. It is now August 7. There has been no update from Microsoft on when problems will be resolved. And Windows Live Spaces users are getting restless, with some asking for the team’s resignation and others announcing plans to defect to other platforms, like MySpace. We’ve been asking for an official Microsoft response since last Wednesday. Update: At 5 p.m. EST on August 7, we got a statement: “We resolved the majority of the issues; however some of our customers may still be having some difficulties with a few features. These remaining issues have been identified and the team is working hard to quickly resolve them. We apologize to any customers who may still be experiencing problems or who were inconvenienced by the temporary issues with the upgrade.”
