Dell ended up on top in worldwide PC shipments for the second quarter as measured by analyst group IDC, followed closely by Hewlett-Packard.

Dell topped IDCs report of second-quarter worldwide PC shipments, released Wednesday night, followed by HP. Acccording to IDC, Dell shipped 5.93 million units, while HP sold 5.38 million PCs.
