Lexmark International announced April 24 that it has made available its latest color laser and color laser multifunctional printers designed for businesses.

Included in the new color laser offering are the C780n, C782n and C935dn. Lexmarks offerings for color laser MFPs include the X782e, X940e, X945e, X500n and X502n.

The Lexmark C780n provides business users with a printer that prints at speeds of up to 31 ppm (pages per minute) in color and up to 35 ppm in monochrome while the C782n is able to print at speeds of up to 35 ppm in color and 40 ppm and monochrome. The C935dn can print at speeds of up to 40 ppm in color and 45 ppm in monochrome.

The C780n series includes enhanced security features by providing users with a numeric pad, which enables them to print what they want in a confidential manner while also allowing users to print on heavy card stocks, which can be used to print a wide range of professional documents and applications such as invitations or color photo identification for hospital wristbands.

The new color laser series from Lexmark also features Color Care technology, enabling users to customize their color print jobs and also control the cost of color in general office printing by using coverage estimator, which allows users to calculate the approximate cost of specific print jobs. Network administrators also are able to control which employees can utilize the color capabilities on each device.

“Color can have a tremendous impact for businesses, but it can be expensive for customers to use widely, especially if they are outsourcing documents to the local print shop,” Paul Rooke, executive vice president and president of the Printing Solutions and Services Division at the Lexington, Ky., Lexmark International, said in a company statement.

Lexmarks C935dn includes A3 ledger or tabloid printing and finishing functionalities including stapling, hole-punch and booklets while also featuring two-sided printing standard.

The C780n, C782n and C935dn are available for prices of $899, $1,299 and $3,199, respectively.

Lexmark also announced that it has released its X782e, X940e and X945e color laser MFPs, providing business users with print, copy and scan capabilities.

The X782e is able to print at speeds of up to 35 ppm in color and 40 ppm in monochrome while the X940e enables users to print at speeds of up to 30 ppm in color and 40 ppm in monochrome and the X945e prints at speeds up to 40 ppm in color and 45 ppm in monochrome.

The three new color laser MFPs from Lexmark, designed for work groups, enables users to print color on a wide range of documents including heavy card stock and vinyl labels and specialty papers such as weather- and fade-resistant outdoor media and oversized banners. These printers also feature an eTask color touchscreen interface, which allows users to customize their print jobs by pressing an icon.

“With this new line, customers now have more ways to leverage the power of color and our proven workflow solutions from the same device,” Rooke said in a separate company release.

The X782e, X940e and X945e color MFPs are available now for prices of $4,449, $15,999 and $18,999, respectively.

Lexmark also launched its X500n and X502n color laser MFPs, providing users with print, copy and scan functionalities while the X502n adds fax capabilities.

The X500n prints at speeds up to eight ppm in color and 31 ppm in monochrome while also featuring a 35-sheet automatic document feeder that allows the device to deliver color copies at a fast rate.

The X500n and X502n are available for $499 and $699, respectively.
