SeeBeyond Technology Corp. announced Thursday that it will work with Compaq Computer Corp. as a business partner on Compaqs NonStop server-based Zero Latency Enterprise initiative.

As a result, SeeBeyond will work with Compaq to port its e*Gate Integrator solution to the Compaq NonStop platform.

Compaqs ZLE is a transaction-oriented offering that provides a single, integrated view of business and customer transactions as they occur, regardless of where they occur within a business.

The idea is that in a zero latency environment the flow in internal information is accelerated to the point where transactions are instantaneously propagated within the enterprise and can be acted on in real time, according to officials.

Compaqs ZLE framework combines EAI (enterprise application integration) software with ODS (operational data store) technology.

By partnering with SeeBeyond, of Redwood Shores, Calif., Houston-based Compaq will be able to expand the EAI capabilities in its NonStop server.

Compaq customers, for their part, will have an out-of-the-box integration functionality with SeeBeyonds e*Gate integration platform.

The two companies will work together to market and sell the combined solution. SeeBeyond will initially develop NonStop server adapters for its e*Gate platform.
