Enterprise application integration software developer SeeBeyond Technology Corp. announced Wednesday the next iteration of its Integrated Composite Application Network at its Horizon 2003 user conference in Las Vegas.

SeeBeyonds ICAN suite, Version 5.0, looks to extend the companys offering beyond its traditional EAI roots to an open, portable platform for the development and integration of composite applications, officials said.

“For those companies that dont want to integrate their integration software, the suite is built on a single code base,” said Jim Demetriades, founder and CEO of Monrovia, Calif.-based SeeBeyond, in a statement. “We have been building towards this vision for the last four years.”

SeeBeyond defines a composite application as one that includes existing functions, services and data models without coding.

A number of SeeBeyonds products are available in the latest ICAN suite, including eGate Integrator, eInsight Business Process Manager, eXchange Integrator, eIndex Global Identifier, eVision Studio, ePortal Composer, eTL Integrator and eInsight Enterprise Service Bus.
