Here are the emerging technology stories for the week of May 28th.

Microsoft Skims the Marketing Surface – OK, I have to admit that when I saw the video of Gates demoing the Microsoft Surface, all I could think of was all the times as a young man that I played Pac-Man on a table console. Google Maps Now with 360 Streetside Views – Lots of news out of OReilly’s Where 2.0 conference this week, including this Google announcement of a street level view of maps.

Windows Firewall Squeezes into USB Key – eWEEK Labs liked the Yoggi Gatekeeper Pro when we reviewed it earlier this year and now with the new Pico it looks like they’ve shrunk it even more, all the way down to a USB drive.
