Patent Trolls, Unite! Your Day Has Come

Patent trolls everywhere, rejoice. You may have the U.S. Supreme Court in your corner.

It appears the high court is hesitant to monkey with existing patent laws and procedures, based on some comments judges made during a March 29 hearing. “I don’t see very many changes,” predicts attorney Robert Yoches, of the law firm Finnegan Henderson.

eBay Inc. which brought the case before the justices, and a host of other Internet luminaries were trying to defang these patent-squatters to make their lawsuits less effective. But the Supremes didn’t seem to go for it, judging from those in attendance at the March 29 hearing. Read more here for additional details.
