New MCI SLA Promises Protection Against DoS Attacks

MCI/WorldCom this week unveiled a new service level agreement (SLA) to help IP services customers thwart and defend against Internet viruses and threats. The new SLA is focused on Denial of Service (DoS) attacks and it ensures that all MCI Internet customers will have immediate access to the companys security staff to help them rapidly address and mitigate DoS attacks. The new SLA was expected to be applied across all MCI IP services, including dedicated and remote Internet access; IP VPN dedicated and remote hosting; and Internet Colocation, shared and single-server dedicated hosting.
