Resilient Systems Debuts Commercial Incident Response Platform
At the conference, IBM announced its plans to acquire Resilient Systems. Also at the event, Resilient announced a commercial version of its Incident Response Platform (IRP) aimed at midsize organizations. In addition, Resilient updated its IRP to version 25, providing integration with Symantec DeepSight Threat Intelligence.
Kaspersky Launches Anti Targeted Attack Platform
Kaspersky Lab announced two new offerings at RSA: the Anti Targeted Attack Platform, which is designed to detect targeted attacks, and Security Intelligence Services (SIS), a set of services, including penetration testing, cyber-security training and threat-intelligence sharing.
Check Point Improves Security Management
Check Point Software introduced its R80 next-generation security management platform at the RSA Conference. The promise of the R80 is improved management of processes, policies and technology.
Mimecast Goes ‘Whaling’ With Impersonation Protection
At RSA 2016, Mimecast is providing a preview of its new service called Impersonation Protection, an extension of the company’s Targeted Threat Protection platform. The goal is to help shield against “whaling” attacks, also known as business email compromises, in which high-level executives are targeted and impersonated in fraud campaigns.
BT and Intel Collaborate on Security
At RSA 2016, BT and Intel Security announced a partnership to create solutions that will help organizations improve security and prevent cyber-attacks. “We are collaborating with Intel to bring together BT’s security intelligence with Intel’s advanced security tools in real time,” Mark Hughes, CEO of BT Security, said in a statement.
Untangle Small-Form-Factor Network Security Technology
Security software and appliance company Untangle debuted its small-form-factor u25 and u25w network security appliances, providing next-generation firewall capabilities for small offices and home offices.
Cybereason Powers New Lockheed Martin Platform
