Symantec Corp.s channel chief, Allyson Seelinger, is stepping down from her post Oct. 14, to be replaced by Julie Parrish, former head of Veritas Software Corp.s channel program.

Parrish, currently Symantecs vice president of enterprise, midmarket and channel marketing, will be vice president of Global Channel Sales and Strategy, a role Seelinger held for 18 months.

Parrish, who came to Symantec when the security vendor acquired Veritas in July, has been working with Seelinger since January, when the acquisition process began, to create a unified channel for Symantec and Veritas partners, Tom Kendra, Symantecs executive vice president of worldwide sales, said in a release Thursday.
