Question from bertprodigy1987
“What do you all think is the best spy-ware and ad-ware remover? I use AdAware and I think it works descently. It found multiple tracking cookies and some files on my computer. I am looking for some other spyware and adware removing software and i am looking for some opinions. What do you all recomend?

Specs
Windows XP Home
1800 P4
512 MB ddr
ATI Radeon 128 9000 pro “

Answer from natehoy
“AdAware is excellent.

Spybot Search and Destroy is another commonly used one. Its also free.

Frankly, I use both of them. What the heck? Theyre free. “

Answer from pcwindowsuser
“Spybot I tried and it has a lot of nice extra features though it wanted to do something with some registry data and I dont trust it removing something that may be important. With that in mind, I like Ad-Aware 6.0 Personal version very well and yes, it too is free.”
