UK Lawmakers Want More Computer Hackers Behind Bars

British MPs this week proposed a revised cybercrime law that would give computer hacking a maximum two-year prison term. In addition to stiffer hacking penalties, a revamped Computer Misuse Act (CMA) would seek to criminalize denial-of-service attacks. Any cybercrime reforms are expected to be closely watched outside the UK as many national laws in other countries are considered insufficient to fight what has become one of the fastest growing global crime waves.
