PalmSource to Present Linux Roadmap at DevCon

PalmSource will present its product roadmap for feature phones and Linux at its annual Developers Conference, set for May 23-26 in San Jose, Calif. Registration is open for the conference, which will feature a Mobile Summit to “identify and explore” worldwide business opportunities for developers, licensees, operators, and industry partners.

PalmSource announced its intention to migrate to Linux in December, in order to pursue the Linux featurephone and smartphone market, with an initial focus on Asia. The company completed its acquisition of phone software reference design vendor China MobileSoft yesterday, hoping a local presence in China would help it compete in the worlds largest market for mobile phones.
