Cloud communications specialist Corvisa announced the launch of its channel partner program and the appointment of Pieter Knight as vice president of channel sales.
The partner program makes Corvisa’s products available to partners and their customers on a national and global level.
“Corvisa recognized the value that a channel approach can provide in terms of spurring growth, driving revenue and expanding brand awareness,” Knight told eWEEK. “The first step was bringing on a core team of people with channel experience in the communications and software space to help lay a solid foundation for the program. The next step has been to be strategic about the partners we’re bringing on. We feel very strongly about ensuring our partners have a great experience with us and that we can give them the support and resources to be successful.”
Corvisa also announced multiple inaugural partnerships with top telecom master agencies, consultants and referral partners, including CarrierSales, PlanetOne Communications, PeakView Communications, Infinite Green and DataVoice Connect.
Prior to joining Corvisa, Knight held positions at companies including Lucent Technologies, Nuance Communications, Broadsoft and inContact. In all, he spent eight years focused on channel sales in the communications industry.
Knight said several partners also may be offer professional services around Corvisa’s Summit platform to build new voice and SMS apps to address specific customer needs.
He explained that as the program grows and the resources to support it expand, the company is looking to include partnerships with value-added resellers and service providers globally.
“Our ability to support our partners starts with having a great team since we believe in a hands-on approach to our partner relationships,” he said. “We will be helping partners with onboarding, product training, pipeline development, support and regular communications. We are working on offering product or platform certification programs as well.”
