Unified networking solutions provider D-Link announced a line of cloud-managed products, including the DAP-3525 AirPremier N Dual Band Exterior PoE Access Point powered by CloudCommand, Insight and the DIR-605 Fuzion broadband aggregation router, which leverage cloud-based automation for remote configuration and monitoring, resiliency, load balancing, and security management that can be outsourced or handled internally.

The D-Link line of WiFi products powered by CloudCommand has been expanded with the DAP-3525 for outdoor deployment and offers features including selectable dual-band 2.4/5GHz for flexible IEEE 802.11n performance of up to 300M bps; 802.3af Power Over Ethernet (PoE) support; secure, segregated guest access with control privileges for each user; and a one-year subscription to CloudCommand Cloud service.

Utilizing the company’s DES/DGS-1210 series Web Smart switches, Insight provides a choice of two levels of monitoring individual client computer security compliance: Insight Basic and Insight Plus. Basic offers tracking of devices connected to the switch by MAC address, IP and switch port, DHCP OS fingerprinting to authenticate DHCP and DNS servers, routers/gateways and clients, automatic configuration management with backup of switch settings, and restoration and notification alerts indicating change in device connectivity to the network.

Insight Plus includes the Basic functionality plus active security monitoring of individual connected devices and extended OS fingerprinting functions, including Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP) for visibility into the compliance of clients to security policy and reports of compliance with Windows and Mac clients for OS updates, antivirus updates and firewall status.

The DAP-3525 is available for $999.99 with a one-year Cloud Service subscription and renewal price of $99.99 per year, while Insight Basic and Insight Plus are offered on DES-DGS-1210 series Web Smart switches through yearly subscriptions starting at $49.99 and $179.99, respectively. The DIR-605 Fuzion is available for $399.99 with a one-year Cloud Service subscription and renewal price of $299.99 per year per router.

The company also expanded the range of its IP surveillance camera portfolio with the DCS-6511 dome network camera, the DCS-7110 outdoor network camera, and the DCS-5605 wired and DCS-5635 PTZ wireless network cameras. The cameras include D-ViewCam, software that allows users to manage up to 32 network cameras, set email alert notifications, create recording schedules and use motion detection to record directly to network storage.

The DCS-6511 is a hardened dome camera that connects to the network to provide video recording and live viewing over the Internet. This camera features built-in IR LEDs and ICR technology to assist in low light and features support for multiple simultaneous streams. The DCS-7110 is an outdoor network camera equipped with HD megapixel resolution and includes anti-tamper features with an electronic tamper detection system.

The DCS-5605 and DCS-5635 feature motorized pan, tilt and optical/digital zoom; the DCS-5605 offers Ethernet PoE, and the DCS-5635 includes both PoE and built-in wireless 802.11n connectivity. The DCS-7110 ($525.99), DCS-5605 ($899.99) and DCS-5635 ($999.99) are currently available, and the DCS-6511($959.99) will be available in June 2011.
