Atlanta-based DynaSis, which specializes in business solutions and IT infrastructure for small to medium-size businesses, announced the opening of a high-tech data center in its hometown headquarters.
The company said the facility offers a secure and resilient place to house mission-critical equipment, with around-the-clock server and environmental monitoring systems, plus management personnel, digital video surveillance cameras, electronic access cards and biometric retina and fingerprint authentication scanners. If you need it, of course.
The data center is served by six high-speed optical connections from providers such as AT&T, Sprint, Level 3, Time Warner Telecom and WorldCom. The center also provides generator backup support as well as a high capacity UPS and automatic transfer switch, which DynaSis hopes will assure SMBs that their data is protected from disastrous failures.
“Our primary feed is through Internap, the most highly rated backbone provider in the U.S.,” said DynaSis President David Moorman. “Internap’s ability to intelligently route traffic for maximum throughput is unsurpassed. They also have superior abilities to detect and quickly respond to threats and traffic issues. Our investment in this upstream provider is well justified.”
The company said the new facility provides the best of both worlds – the “highest level of infrastructure in production today” combined with a computing grid that DynaSis manages their customer’s sites, databases and applications.
The architecture is engineered to provide redundancy at multiple points of failure, including multiple high-speed feeds to the Internet backbone, re-generated power via a dedicated three-grid substation to ensure power purity, batteries and generators in case of power failures, storm proof facilities, and other features.
