Velaro, a click-to-chat and click-to-call software solutions company, announced integration between the company’s click-to-call software as a service and Aptela’s hosted phone service. Click-to-call offers an alternative mode of communicating with online visitors. By fully integrating with Aptela’s hosted phone service, Velaro’s click-to-call lets Website visitors click a button on a company’s Website and allow Velaro to identify the properly skilled agent and connect the call.

The solution, aimed at small to medium-size businesses (SMBs), is priced per agent, but companies are able to install the Velaro Desktop Application on as many machines as they like at no additional cost.

Velaro’s click-to-call comes with all the features of the company’s live chat service and is integrated with all of Velaro’s workflow capabilities, such as auto routing, agent tiering and sales rules. Pre-call and post-call surveys are standard with the click-to-call service, which helps allow companies track the effectiveness of their agents.

Aptela’s features can be accessed anywhere, any time through the Internet, traditional wire-line or cellular networks. Velaro’s clients include LG Electronics, Blue Cross Blue Shield, MarketStar, Experian, Toro and Epicor. Aptela was recently recognized as a 2009 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 company with a No. 78 ranking overall and a No. 15 ranking among telecommunications/network providers.

“This partnership is an incredible value for Velaro customers. By joining forces with the leading SMB hosted VOIP phone service provider, we are able to offer online businesses a streamlined resource that utilizes their existing telephony infrastructure,” said Alex Bloom, president of Velaro. “Together we are assisting online merchants in realizing potential revenue from every Website visitor.”

Velaro’s services are secured by both physical and technological systems to protect sensitive business information. Chats and transactions can be encrypted using 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) standards, and the company also employs firewalls and other third-party services to provide safe interactions between businesses and their customers. Velaro also provides free training and setup services to all customers, including direct end-user training to agents.

Jackie Funk, director of marketing for Aptela, said the integration of Aptela’s hosted phone service with Velaro’s click-to-chat application is “a natural fit” for any organization that conducts business online. “We are very excited about Velaro’s integration with our hosted phone service. Aptela is focused on providing our customers the most powerful small business communications solution available,” Funk said. “It allows any business with a Web presence to be readily available to its customers at all times-a perfect solution for both marketing and customer service.”
