Decru, a Network Appliance company, will announce this week its new Decru DataFort appliances and enhanced encryption-key-management capabilities to bolster storage security.

Due to be introduced at Storage Networking World, the Decru DataFort FC1020 is a 10-port appliance that can deliver 10G bps of encryption and compression throughput for Fibre Channel tape environments, said Decru officials.

For SCSI tape environments, Decru is announcing its two-port Decru DataFort S115 appliance. In addition, Decru is updating its Lifetime Key Management system to support all new DataFort appliances, which can now back up keys to four individual key-management servers simultaneously.
