iQstor Unveils 1.2TB SATA Array

iQstor Networks Inc. recently unveiled a new Serial ATA-based RAID system with 1TB of raw storage capacity in a 3U rack-mount chassis.

The companys iQ1200 Storage System can be ordered in a base configuration with either a single or a dual controller and a recommended minimum of six 80GB Serial ATA (SATA) hard drives to take advantage of RAID Level 5 protection.

In addition, the iQ1200 includes on-board intelligence, which enables a variety of data management services, said Albert Saraie, director of marketing at iQstor.
