iVivity Nets $26 Million for Storage on a Chip

iVivity Inc. recently received $26 million in third-round funding, bringing its total funding to date to more than $50 million.

The storage networking company will transition its focus from research and development to delivering products and services, according to David Coombs, iVivity CEO.

iVivity said its iDiSX intelligent “storage server on chip” processor is built for cost-effective solutions development, allowing network storage vendors to add high-end storage functionality while reducing overall costs in their solutions portfolio.
