A number of storage vendors made storage announcements at last weeks LinuxWorld conference.

Applied Micro Circuits Corp. last week announced its 3ware 9000 Series SATA RAID controllers with Linux Kernel 2.6.x and the XFS File System. The new controllers support single arrays of up to 4.8 TB via 64 bit LBAs on one controller.

Veritas Software Corp. announced several Red Hat Enterprise Linux-certified offerings. The company also said it has joined the Open Source Development Labs (OSDL) and will participate in the labs Data Center Workgroup.
