Kyoceras 7135 smart phone effectively combines a Palm OS handheld and a wireless CDMA handset in a form factor thats only a little larger than a standard cell phone. As a 1xRTT-capable phone, the 7135 boasts plenty of connection-speed pep for powering Web applications—provided that the applications are designed for the small displays formed on mobile devices.

The Kyocera 7135 will cost in the neighborhood of $499 to $599, which is similar to the price that other high-end communicator devices command. However, much of the eventual cost of this device will depend on the data rate plans that its wireless carriers set for it.

(+) Trim form factor; good connection speed, thanks to 1xRTT; SD card slot for memory expansion.

(-) SD card slot does not support SDIO.
