CA to Acquire Orchestria for Data Loss Prevention Technology
CA is making a play into the data loss prevention market with the purchase of Orchestria. CA plans to integrate DLP with its identity and access management portfolio to help business design better policies to protect data.CA officials announced today the company is making its third security acquisition in as many months with the purchase of the Orchestria Corporation. The deal combines CA's identity and access management portfolio with Orchestria's DLP (data loss prevention) technology with the goal of helping organizations control access to data and set policies on its use based on a user's identity and role.

"We are continuing our aggressive plan to deliver to our customers a comprehensive solution for identity and access management to help meet their security, compliance and privacy needs."
