Available as a hosted service starting at $240 for three users per month or as a licensed application starting at $35,000, Elluminate Live 6.0 became available in November. It offers a good mix of collaboration features, including integrated audio and breakout rooms. On the audio side, the system can keep users in sync with the speaker by replaying audio at a higher speed if the connection drops, a good option in lieu of a phone.
I found that the meeting rooms work well—moving attendees to a room requires only dragging and dropping the person from the attendee list to the room. Attendees dont experience any change except that they interact only with others in the room. More information is available at www.elluminate.com.
