The cost of “phishing” for U.S. Banks and credit card issuers last year was $1.2 billion, according to a new Gartner Research study.
Gartner said 57 million Americans received a “phished” e-mail last year, with 76 percent of the attacks have occurring in the last 6 months.
The Gartner survey was based on a limited study of only 5,000 individuals.
