DYS Analytics Inc., which develops messaging and collaboration system add-ons, later this month will expand its offerings for IBMs Lotus Software division applications.
The offerings, which are all due to be announced at the Lotusphere conference in Orlando, Fla., are designed to improve performance and management of the Lotus software. The new products and updates, which will ship in March, will extend DYS Analytics reach to smaller Lotus customers and to Lotus new Workplace platform.
Version 4.2 of the companys flagship Control messaging and collaboration management suite will include improvements in instant messaging management, application management and performance management. In addition, the update will offer support for Lotus new Workplace Messaging and Team Workplace (formerly QuickPlace) platforms.
In the Collaboration Control component of Control 4.2, the suite features the tracking of IM conversations and the alerting of keywords used in those conversations.
Also included will be new reports for IM and Web conferencing server health metrics, integrated mailbox and mail traffic reporting, inactivity reporting, new alerting capabilities for e-mail policy violations, per-portal access control, and an enhanced user interface for server-to-server replication analysis.
Control 4.2 is slated to be available in March.
Also at the show, DYS, of Wellesley, Mass., will debut Email TrackNow, the desktop edition of the companys Email Investigator product. Email TrackNow, designed to monitor and analyze a companys messaging infrastructure, will run on the administrators desktop without requiring Microsoft Corp.s SQL Server or a Web server.
The desktop edition is designed for organizations with 1,000 to 5,000 seats on Lotus messaging systems that have less complex monitoring needs, DYS officials said. It will provide the same ad hoc querying and reporting as the full client/server product, but for a smaller number of records.
DYS Analytics offerings, particularly the new IM chat logging and alerting capabilities, can help companies meet the more stringent regulatory requirements of today, company officials said. Control 4.2 contains more than 200 standard reports and supports customer report generation. The software can also be used for IT budgeting and planning, officials said.
