Macromedia last week announced it has hired a former Microsoft executive to run its mobile and devices business unit.
The company appointed Juha Christensen, who, until last November, was vice president of the mobile devices division at Microsoft, where he spent more than four years.
Before joining Microsoft, Christensen co-founded Symbian, a joint venture with Nokia, Ericsson, Sony-Ericsson, Matsushita, Samsung, Siemens and Psion, whose operating system is emerging as an industry standard.
Previously, Christensen worked at Psion and helped deliver some of the industrys first PDAs, said Macromedia officials.
