IBM on Tuesday announced the availability of two new hosted services as part of its e-business on-demand strategy.
The services include a hosted CRM offering based on Onyx Software Corp.s Onyx Enterprise CRM suite and a remote IT infrastructure management offering.
Both services are designed for medium-sized businesses.
The IBM Application Hosting for Onyx solution offers Onyxs CRM software hosted and managed by IBM Global Services. The service is implemented within 30 days and accessed through a Web browser, using a similar multi-tenanted approach as hosted CRM services like Salesforce.com, UpShot, Salesnet and NetLedger.
Onyx officials, in Bellevue, Wash., said the hosted service offers more “enterprise-class functionality” as well as better capabilities for customization, integration and scalability than existing hosted offerings.
The service will include applications for salesforce automation, marketing automation and customer service and support. User screens, workflows and business rules can be customized to individual businesses.
The service is available to customers with as few as 25 users though the average size of implementation is expected to be 75-100 seats. Pricing is $150 per user per month after a $100,000 set-up fee, which includes activation, implementation and training.
The other service announced today, IBM Services Anywhere Select, enables customers of medium-sized business to have IBM manage the components of their infrastructure, including storage, application support and security, saving internal IT resources for other projects. When problems are identified, IBM will attempt to fix them remotely and alert onsite technicians to the problem, IBM officials said.
