Microsoft Corp. announced at Comdex in Las Vegas Monday that it was making its MSN Money personal financial management service available to financial planners to be resold to their clients.
Known as MSN Money Professional, the service combines .Net My Services with secure document publishing, portfolio reporting and financial content from the MSN Money Web site. Its designed to allow financial advisers to provide their clients with portfolio updates, reports and real-time news and quotes.
MSN Money Professional is expected to launch in beta early next year.
Advent Software is an early adopter of the new service. The investment management software developer plans to offer a service called WealthLine based on MSN Money Professional. The company will sell the Web-based wealth management service to financial institutions for use with their advisers and clients.
The service will integrate MSN Money Professional with Advents Axys portfolio accounting software and TrustedNetwork data service.
