110 Android Wear Devices Available Today

10 Android Wear Devices Available Today

Google is calling version 2.0 its biggest update to Android Wear yet, vastly improving the wearables based on the OS. We look at the top smartwatches running Android Wear.

2The China-Based Huawei Watch Is Attractive

The China-Based Huawei Watch Is Attractive

Huawei Watch doesn’t come with a fancy name, but it certainly has a fancy design. Made to look more like a traditional watch than a smartwatch, the device has a round watch face and stainless steel finish. The Android Wear wearable provides full fitness tracking, along with a built-in speaker to make and take calls. The screen measures 1.4 inches and has more than 1,500 available watch face options. Huawei Watch’s pricing starts at $399.

3Let’s Talk About the Asus ZenWatch 2

Let's Talk About the Asus ZenWatch 2

The Asus ZenWatch 2 is one of the more affordable Android Wear devices in this roundup, with prices starting at just $150. That said, the device has 4GB of storage and 512MB of RAM and features a built-in speaker for placing calls. The rectangular screen is protected with Corning’s Gorilla Glass, and customers can choose from either leather or rubber straps, depending on their planned usage. Like the others in this roundup, the device has full fitness tracking support.

4Casio’s WSD-F10 Is All About the Outdoors

Casio's WSD-F10 Is All About the Outdoors

Casio has broken into the smartwatch market with the WSD-F10 smart outdoor watch. The device has a round screen, and its internal components can withstand military-grade drops, shocks and vibrations. In addition, the smartwatch can be used while swimming at depths of 50 meters. Casio’s device has two screen modes: one with full color for “everyday use” and a monochrome option that only displays time and date to extend battery life. The smartwatch starts at $500.

5Fossil Q Shows Is About Fashion

Fossil Q Shows Is About Fashion

If Casio is about ruggedness, Fossil’s Q line is about fashion. The Android Wear smartwatch has a round, 1.5-inch screen with 240 pixels per inch for enhanced readability. Fossil is quick to tout the device’s 24 hours of battery life. And with both an Intel processor and 1GB of RAM built-in, it is one of the more powerful options on the market. It comes in several versions, including options with leather and steel. For all of that, the device is still affordable, starting at $275.

      6The Second-Generation Moto 360 Is Still Appealing

The Second-Generation Moto 360 Is Still Appealing

Motorola was one of the earliest companies to adopt Android Wear, and its second-generation model is keeping pace with competitors. Arguably the Moto 360’s most important feature is WiFi connectivity, allowing users to connect to the Internet from the smartwatch. In addition, the Moto 360 has edge-to-edge Gorilla Glass and built-in fitness coaching, and it can last for more than 24 hours on a single charge. It comes with the customer’s choice of leather bands and starts at $300.

7LG Watch Urbane Is Another Second-Generation Option

LG Watch Urbane Is Another Second-Generation Option

The second-generation LG Watch Urbane is another attractive option for those who want Internet connectivity from their device. However, the Watch Urbane connects to LTE networks via AT&T and Verizon, effectively turning it into a smartphone all its own. The rounded watch face measures 1.4 inches, and the watch is both dust- and water-resistant. Pricing starts at $200.

8TAG Heuer Is Another Fashionable Option

TAG Heuer Is Another Fashionable Option

TAG Heuer has been making traditional watches for quite some time, but it’s also competing in the Android Wear market with the TAG Heuer Connected. Not only is the device splash-proof, but it will withstand a small fall. Plus, it comes with a mechanical bezel to quickly tell time. The Connected is one of the bigger smartwatches in this roundup, measuring 46mm in diameter. It comes with anti-fingerprint coating, so users won’t smudge its display too badly. All of that, however, comes at a price: The TAG Heuer Connected costs $1,500.

      9Motorola’s Sport Model Is Different

      Motorola's Sport Model Is Different

The Moto 360 and Moto 360 Sport might look similar, but they’re two entirely different devices. The Moto 360 Sport is designed for athletes and other active individuals who want sweat-resistant bands, an ambient light sensor to see the screen in sunlight and a long battery life. The sporty device also comes with a heart rate sensor and support for wireless charging. The Moto 360 Sport is available for $300.

10LG Watch R Is Harder to Find

LG Watch R Is Harder to Find

LG, like Motorola, has invested heavily in Android Wear. The company’s LG Watch R has a 1.3-inch “full circle” screen and runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 processor. In addition, users will find compass support, a heart rate monitor and an always-on display to quickly glance at the time. The LG Watch R is a bit harder to find than some of the others in this lineup, as it is available only at select retailers, including Best Buy. It costs $249.

      11The Sony Smartwatch 3 Has Built-In Microphone

The Sony Smartwatch 3 Has Built-In Microphone

Sony’s SmartWatch 3 is another Android Wear device that can sometimes be hard to find, although it can be bought online for around $250. For the price, customers will get a 1.6-inch rectangular screen, a quad-core ARM A7 processor and 512MB of RAM. The device has a built-in microphone for call support and can connect to other products via near-field communication (NFC).
