4MLinux 11.1 Delivers Maintenance, Miniserver, Multimedia and Mystery

Data recovery from a failed disk can sometimes be a complicated task, which is why 4MLinux also provides the TestDisk recovery software as another option to recover data from disks that won’t boot.

4MLinux includes the GParted application for managing and adjusting disk partitions.

The Nwipe utility in 4MLinux enables users to securely erase a target hard drive.

The ClamAV application included in 4MLinux provides users with the ability to scan their environments for potential viruses.

The miniserver part of 4MLinux Allinone provides multiple server options, including FTP, HTTP, SSH and telnet.

Multiple types of games are provided in 4MLinux Allinone, including games that can be played via the console as well as those that can be run in DOSBox.

4MLinux includes multiple multimedia capabilities that enable users to watch video and mix music.

While many Linux distributions simply default to Mozilla Firefox as the primary Web browser, the 4MLinux 11.1 beta currently has QupZilla as the default. There are other browser options, however, including the Firefox and SeaMonkey browsers.
