      Janam’s XM5 is the company’s first rugged mobile handheld computer that allows enterprises to use Windows to start but then switch the device over to Android if infrastructure needs change. Users can also choose between a QWERTY or numeric keyboard for their work needs.

      The XM5 includes 4G, 3G and 802.11 WiFi capabilities so that users can access needed reliable, high-performance systems for voice and data communications inside buildings or outside, wherever they are working. Also included are near-field communications (NFC) capabilities.

      A 3.5mm headset jack on the XM5 includes Secure Lock capabilities so that attached headsets can’t become dislodged accidentally as a worker moves in the field. Also built into the XM5 is a 1D/2D imager or a 1D laser scanner for reading barcodes and embedded RFID tags.

      8 - Withstands Tough Environmental Conditions

      The XM5 can be used in temperatures that range from minus 4 degrees up to 140 degrees F and in tropical conditions of up to 95 percent humidity. The new XM5 handhelds have list prices ranging from $1,595 to $2,495, depending on configurations and features.
