eWEEK Labs Walk-Through: Altiris Manageability Toolkit

We connected to the HP Compaq dc7700 using the Altiris Manageability Toolkit for vPro Technology remote control terminal. We were able to use the text-only interface to change the HP setup utility without making a deskside visit.

The Altiris Manageability Toolkit collected base information about the Intel board, including the serial number (collected when the HP Compaq dc7700 was turned on).

The Altiris Manageability Toolkit reported detailed information in summary format about the HP Comaq dc7700, including machine name, domain and Altiris Notification Server. The summary also included data on the system OS and Altiris agent information.
