      The fourth largest city in the United States, Philadelphia has seen a large increase in technology jobs year-over-year, in particular for Java developers, software engineers and network engineers.

      A huge new Google campus in the Venice, Calif., suburbs, a wave of startups and $298.6 million in tech investments in the first three quarters of 2011 contributed to a 16 percent rise in listed tech jobs.

      Seattle, known for its proximity to tech giant Microsoft and a lot of great startups, comes in ninth on the list, with a 16 percent bump in available technology jobs.

      10Atlanta

      No. 10 on CyberCoders’ list is Atlanta, which saw a 15 percent increase in technology jobs from 2010 to 2011. Atlanta is also home to a growing biotechnology sector, gaining recognition through such events as the 2009 BIO International Convention.
