      1Xoom 2

      1

The Xoom 2 is bold, considering Motorola only sold 100,000 units of the original Xoom in its most recent quarter. The tablet has 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, along with 3D virtual surround sound.

      2Xoom 2 Horizontal

      2

The horizontal view gives users a better appreciation for the wide high-definition screen. The slate also sports 1.3MP front-facing and 5MP rear-facing HD cameras with digital zoom, auto focus and LED flash.

      3Motorola Stylus Option

      3

There is also support for the optional Motorola Stylus that is great for note taking, hand writing emails and sketching. Xoom 2 includes Motoprint in some applications to let users print wirelessly.

      4Gmail on the Xoom 2

      4

Gmail as rendered on the Xoom 2, which also offers Active Sync for work email, contacts and calendar, Citrix Receiver and Citrix GoToMeeting and MotoCast to let users access and stream files from a PC or Mac to a tablet.

      5Media Edition

      5

The Media Edition of the Xoom 2 is clearly more tailored to multimedia consumption and sharing, including games like this.

      6Vertical Aspect

      6

The Media Edition weighs only 0.85 pounds. Note the customizable widgets from Honeycomb 3.2. Moreover, the slate has a 20 percent improvement in graphics performance over the original Xoom.

      7Wide-Angle Viewing

      7

Motorola designed the Media Edition for wide, 178-degree viewing angles for video viewing by more than one person in different places in a room.

      8Media Edition Side View

      8

Motorola provides adaptive virtual surround sound with multiple speakers and “booming bass” for the Media Edition.

      9Xoom 2 Specifications

      9

The full specs for the Xoom 2 and Xoom 2 Media Edition. The big disparity is in the Web use time, with the Xoom 2 getting 10 hours to only six for the Media Edition.

      10The Original Xoom

      10

Heres the original Xoom, which eWEEK profiled last winter.
