      The iMac’s 27-inch display features 2560 by 1440 resolution, or 78 percent more pixels than the 21.5-inch iMac.

      The 27-inch iMac’s form factor puts a lot of space between the CPU and GPU in order to keep the internal temperature down, helping keep the system quiet.

      The tapered pedestal falls in line with Apple’s streamlined aesthetic. The device can also be attached to a wall mount, articulating arm or VESA-compliant mount (with a VESA Mount Adapter Kit).

      The Magic Mouse, which comes with the 27-inch iMac, features no mechanical parts such as a scroll wheel or track ball, instead relying on multitouch to convey commands.
