ESI, a designer and manufacturer of business telephone systems and cloud services, announced the expansion and enhancement of its mobile applications offerings designed for mobile work environments.
The company introduced additional features for its Ditto Cloud PBX application, launched the beta version of its IP 900 Mobile application for users of the IP Server 900 solution and announced a 30-day free trial for its Abillity mobile billing application.
Abillity is available on desktops, Apple- and Android-based mobile devices, and has a simple and intuitive interface. At the end of a call, Abillity automatically prompts the user to classify if the call is billable, and record or type a memo.
The call is then securely exported into the Abillity Web portal where users can review billing records, control the data and make edits.
“We pride ourselves on making our products intuitive and easy to use, so any SMB can experience the benefits of on-the-go communication with Ditto or IP 900 Mobile—no matter if they’re early adaptors or technology-averse,” George Platt, ESI’s CEO, told eWEEK. “Our mobile billing app Abillity has experienced great success among lawyers who can now log client calls in between the office, meetings and the courtroom, but the application is useful for any professional that relies on billable hours.”
Since the September launch of ESI Ditto, a mobile application that mirrors the functionality of an ESI desk phone for Cloud PBX users, ESI has implemented updates including a streamlined user interface with a new look and new navigation, as well as a split-screen layout for improved access of features on 7-inch and 10-inch tablets.
Available on both Apple and Android device, ESI Ditto provides a holistic approach for user connectivity, with Single Number Reach, allowing calls to be automatically routed to a mobile device and visual voicemail with click-to-dial call-back functionality.
In addition, a WiFi-to-cellular data handoff maintains constant connection based on network availability, and also included is Intelitouch, an intelligent integration between SIP endpoints and the web-based dashboard for a more unified experience.
The company also unveiled the beta version of its IP 900 Mobile, the companion application for its IP Server 900 solution.
The mobile application has a similar functionality to ESI Ditto, but serves businesses with on-premises communication systems.
The IP Server 900 is a unified communications system that combines the reliability of a traditional on-premises phone system with the added flexibility of leveraging network connectivity. Its companion mobile application extends the system’s SIP and VoIP calling functionality to mobile devices.
“Mobile technology is allowing businesses to think beyond the office walls and get work done from any location,” Platt said. “The impact is unprecedented–businesses can now grow and scale rapidly, set up communication in a new office with just a few clicks of a button, or allow their team to keep projects moving while on the road or at home.”
ESI Ditto, IP 900 Mobile and Abillity are part of the company’s broader portfolio of end-to-end cloud solutions, including SIP trunking, audio conferencing and CloudFax.
