Remote monitoring and management automation software specialist N-able Technologies announced the release of Report Manager 3.2, a customizable RMM reporting tool that gives managed service providers (MSPs) insight into the IT infrastructures of their small and midsize business (SMB) customers. Report Manager 3.2 is integrated at both the data and user-interface level with the N-central 8.2 RMM automation platform, and aggregates strategic-level IT performance data.

The new software also features pre-built templates and pre-configured “report part” modules that can be dragged and dropped onto reports to provide reusability of objects that are data-linked. Designed as a parameter-driven solution, Report Manager 3.2 gives MSPs control over the type and granularity of report content, and the ability to generate customized reports.

Solis Security, an Austin, Texas-based MSP focused on the financial services industry, was among the first wave of N-able partners to test-drive the new software. “Banks and credit unions have to have great reports for their board members and examiners, but these reports also demonstrate the overall performance and business value of our services,” says Keith Burns, chief operating officer for Solis Security. “The new reports generated by 3.2 are much more professional, uniform and visually appealing. The matrices and pie charts are a great addition, and the fact that we can see and manage everything from one dashboard is simply fantastic.”

To further accelerate and simplify reporting, the new release is also equipped with pre-populated charts and gauges. In addition, N-able partners also gain access to a variety of templates, including more than 50 ready-to-use strategic- and executive-level reports that focus on four functional areas, including the business impact of managed services, long-term IT infrastructure performance, asset management and regulatory compliance. Report Manager 3.2 is part of N-able’s N-central product family and is available for purchase along with Essential and Professional licenses, or as an “a la carte” product offering. Existing N-able partners who have a current N-compass maintenance and support plan will be able to upgrade to Report Manager 3.2 free of charge, the company noted.

“In today’s performance-driven world, effective reporting has become a must-have for MSPs, but the time and resources previously required to generate professional-grade reports was a commitment and expense most MSPs just weren’t willing to make,” said Robert Grapes, director of product management for N-able Technologies. “Now, through the advanced customization capabilities and ease of use found in Report Manager 3.2, N-able’s MSP partners can quickly produce an array of comprehensive, customizable and branded reports that successfully showcase their business value while strategically mapping out the full spectrum of critical IT issues that impact their customers’ success.”
