Technology giant Hewlett-Packard (HP) expanded its all-in-one PC portfolio for small to medium-size businesses (SMBs) with the HP Pro All-in-one MS200 Business PC, featuring an integrated design that puts the computing power inside the display. The company said its single console, which conceals antennas, cables and other peripherals, offers an ideal solution for use in space-constrained cubicles, executive conference rooms, schools, nurse stations and hotel lobbies. The MS200 Business PC is available now at a U.S. starting price of $699.

The MS200 is an Energy Star 5.0 qualified PC and uses less metal and plastic than traditional desktop PCs and monitors because the monitor and PC are combined. It also consumes less than half the energy of an old PC and LCD display, HP noted. With an 18.5-inch diagonal screen, the MS200 features a 16:9 high-definition LCD display that tilts and swivels, a full-size keyboard and mouse, built-in webcam, Slim Tray SuperMulti DVD burner and a microphone array.

Customers can download a 60-day trial of HP Virtual Rooms at no additional cost to host virtual meetings with remote coworkers and for video-enabled chat using the built-in webcam and microphone. It also features a 250 gigabyte (GB) hard drive, Microsoft Windows 7 Professional operating system and an AMD AthlonTM dual-core processor. Its one-year on-site commercial warranty offers small business customers onsite service.

For business users who require quality graphics, the MS200 includes ATI Radeon high-definition 3200 graphics with 256MB graphics memory. Its front-facing stereo speakers help provide clear sound for improved communication, and the product also features built-in Wireless LAN (802.11b/g) with WLAN antenna for quick online access. It also includes a six-in-one media card slot, six USB ports, headphone input and microphone output jacks.

“HP has seen a growing customer demand for all-in-one PCs to simplify set-up and streamline workplace environments,” said Alan Reed, vice president and general manager of business desktops for HP’s Personal Systems Group. “The HP Pro All-in-one MS200 is ideal for small businesses that want a space-saving, one-console PC at an affordable price that still offers the performance capabilities needed in business environments.”
