Would you be interested in testing out a new-gen, cloud-based business-management system of record that features dashboards, an analytics engine and other tools an owner needs to run a business? Insightly is betting a lot of people will, in fact, be intrigued by the idea.

Oh, and they also may be swayed by the fact that there is a freemium version of the app available for up to two users.

The San Francisco-based customer relationship management startup, designed for building long-term customer relationships, on March 7 released new dashboards that enable companies to visualize their operational and customer data directly within Insightly CRM.

CRM a Natural System of Record

For many midsized companies, a CRM is a primary system of record and a natural place in which to capture, visualize and share data.

By virtue of its high-end data visualization, which breathes life into CRM data, Insightly claims to be the first to provide growing midsize companies with a fully customizable big data solution, right out of the box at no extra cost.

“We’ve been working for the past year to add complete business intelligence and dashboard functionality built right into Insightly, and we’re giving it away for free to all our customers who already use our platform,” CEO Anthony Smith told eWEEK.  “This is a great system of record for all the leads and opportunities that can be automatically added into the CRM from external apps, email, telephone calls, or social networks (like Slack or other messaging systems).”

No other CRM systems of which eWEEK is aware include telephony; telephone business calls are almost unilaterally handled by automated call centers. Insightly’s CRM does include telephony. When calls come in, they are logged and recorded and can be searched upon for keywords, Smith said. This alone sets Insightly apart from the rest of the market.

Integrated, Enterprise-Grade Data Visualization Out of the Box

Insightly’s data visualization dashboards enable companies to discover insights about their business and markets they probably wouldn’t have noticed previously. They also can track important projects, make sure that milestones are reach, and enable information to be shared with other employees and business partners as needed.

Using data drawn from Insightly’s Customer Relationship Platform, users can select relevant, customizable dashboards that can display more than 80 preconfigured reports, dashboards and something Insightly calls “insight cards”–information factoids relevant to each customer. These can be filtered by role, industry, customer profile and other attributes. Other benefits include:

      • Uncover Growth Opportunities: Insightly’s new dashboard engine utilizes an AI-driven recommendations to display metrics like “Win Rates” and “Average Sale Price” to help users measure performance and make better business decisions.
      • Insights For Any Role: Insightly data visualizations are customizable to allow sales managers, marketing leaders, executives and collaborators to see everything from leaderboards and pipeline summaries to project updates and productivity goals so they can filter the information that is most relevant to their business function.
      • Ready In Minutes: Sales and marketing teams need to move fast. Insightly’s intuitive drag-and-drop interface lets users create dashboards in minutes from standard business data or custom fields and personalize the layout to their preference. No IT required.
      • Post-Sale Delivery: Insightly uniquely offers product and project delivery capabilities native to the CRM. With the new dashboards and Insight cards, teams can visualize their projects by status, owner or client to ensure successful on-time completion to ensure what is sold actually gets delivered to the customer.

The new business intelligence features are available to Insightly customers starting March 7.
