The latest Sony Xperia Z3v smartphone, which includes upcoming remote PlayStation 4 capabilities and is waterproof for up to 30 minutes, will be available to Verizon Wireless customers for $199.99 with a two-year contract starting Oct. 23.

The new Xperia Z3v, which runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, also includes a 5.2-inch Full HD TRILUMINOS display with front surround speakers, a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 32GB of internal storage, a 3,200mAh battery with a long-life stamina mode for more than a day’s worth of use, a 20.7-megapixel camera and 4G LTE connectivity, according to an announcement by Verizon.

Customers who buy one of the new Sony Xperia Z3v smartphones can for a limited time also get $200 off a Sony Xperia Z2 tablet, which is normally $499.99, when activating each device on a two-year contract. The phone can also be purchased on a monthly payment plan through the Verizon Edge program.

The PlayStation 4 gaming capabilities mean that users will be able to stream and play video games on their phone wherever they are on their home WiFi network when the new PS4 Remote Play services begin in November, according to Verizon. For users, that means that games will be playable without having to download them from an app store, essentially extending console gaming to their smartphone.

A DualShock4 wireless controller, which will sell for $59.99, and a GCM10 game control mount, which will sell for $39.99, will also be made available to complete the PS4 Remote Play gaming experience, according to Verizon.

The smartphone is IP65 and IP68 certified, making it waterproof in up to 4.9 feet of water and dustproof after all of its ports are secured.

The Xperia Z3v’s 20.7MP camera comes with a variety of creative Xperia Camera apps, including Multi-camera control, which allows users and two other friends to capture video from multiple angles simultaneously and save it as a combined video, and Face in, which lets users take photos and videos using both the rear and front camera at the same time. The Z3v also can record video in 4K resolution.

The new phone will be compatible with Sony’s upcoming Sony SmartWatch 3, which will be offered by Verizon in the future.

Also included with the new Xperia Z3v will be a free 30-day free music streaming trial subscription though Music Unlimited, as well as six preselected popular movies to download and own from Video Unlimited, according to Verizon.
