Stealth.com Unveils Fanless Mini-PC for Commercial Applications

Stealth.com is rolling out its latest small PC, the fanless LPC-175F that is designed for industrial and commercial uses such as embedded controls, digital signs, thin clients and interactive kiosks.

The company makes a broad range of rugged PCs, servers and peripherals, including displays and keyboards that are designed to withstand extremes in temperature and altitude, vibration, humidity and dust. They can be found in industrial, commercial and scientific research, military, public safety, transportation and telecommunications applications.

The LPC-175F fits in with the rest of Stealth.com’s portfolio. The mini-PC is an ultra-small fanless system that at 3.30 inchesby-5.71 inches by 1.38 inches is slightly larger than a deck of cards, according to company officials. The finless operation not only means it’s highly energy-efficient and can run essentially silently, but there also are no cooling fans to draw dust and dirt into the systems, they said.

In addition, the mini-PC can operate in a wide temperature range—14 degrees to 158 degrees Fahrenheit—and also can hold up against high vibrations, humidity and altitudes. It operates from an external 12VDC power adapter or can be connected to an external DC source.

“The LPC-175F is one of the smallest computers we have offered to date featuring a small form factor that can operate in multiple environments,” Louis Houde, business unit director at Stealth.com, said in a statement.

The system is powered by a quad-core Atom E3845 processor from Intel and can run Microsoft’s Windows 10, 8, 8.1 and 7 operating systems, and also is Linux compatible. It includes solid-state drives (SSDs). The systems can be configured to meet the needs of the OEMs or the end user, according to Stealth.com officials.

The system is shipping now, and basic configurations start at $1,095.
