Centrify, a provider of unified identity services across data center, cloud and mobile platforms, announced the launch of its inaugural certification program for customers and partners to certify their knowledge and expertise in design, implementation and administration of the company’s Server Suite.

Centrify Certified System Administrators (CCSAs) will be recognized as proven technical specialists of the company’s solutions and products. The first certification available is for CCSA of the Server Suite Standard Edition, with further Centrify products being added in the near future.

The program offers technical professionals a variety of educational tools, an online portal for managing certifications, early access to beta products, additional customer support services, and more.

The Centrify Server Suite helps organizations centrally control, secure and audit access to cross-platform systems, mobile devices, and applications by leveraging an infrastructure they already own with Microsoft Active Directory.

The suite delivers secure authentication and single sign-on, role-based access control, privileged identity management, mobile security management, user-level auditing for Windows and Unix systems, server isolation, and encryption of data-in-motion heterogeneous systems and applications on premise and in the cloud.

Built on an integrated architecture, the platform is designed to strengthen security, enhance regulatory compliance initiatives and reduce IT expense and complexity.

“Centrify system administrators now have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and validate their skills around Centrify’s solutions to help deliver more security and compliance value to their organizations through Centrify’s solutions,” Dean Thompson, vice president of technical services for Centrify, said in a statement. “Not only will technical professionals ensure they are equipped to best support their organizations with all the advantages that Centrify has to offer, but they will have the designation that proves to the industry that they are skilled and experienced in managing access controls, privileges and activity auditing across cloud, mobile and on premise environments.”

Partners who complete the program will also receive early access to beta releases and roadmap information for Centrify Server Suite, and will earn streamlined support experiences when contacting Centrify Technical Support.

In November, the company released updates to that latest version of the Suite, featuring the Centrify Identity Risk Assessor (CIRA), which helps organizations identify identity-related risks to help protect them from internal threats and meet compliance requirements.

The CIRA platform scans server environments to locate identity-related risks on UNIX and Linux servers. CIRA correlates these findings into a set of dashboards and reports capturing identity vulnerabilities and compliance violations that compare exposures to recommended best practices.

It can discover hidden issues in the Unix and Linux infrastructure, such as inconsistent password policies across servers, excessive use of local root and service accounts and other fundamental security weaknesses that can be hard to identify and correct.
