Insight and Analysis
There are not a lot of peer reviews available for CloudBolt yet. It is still an early-stage venture company, according to Crunchbase. Gartner Peer Reviews had 11 reviews as of April 17, 2020. Here are some sample comments:
From a professional on Gartner Peer Reviews in 2019:
Overall Comment: “Very elegant, simple, straight-forward solution, but yet very extensible and customizable. Took only 30 minutes to download, configure, and hook it up to a resource handler and begin managing/provisioning/orchestrating VMs. Sometimes it can be tricky to get complex orchestrations working consistently, but they have great support to help you along.”
What do you like most about the product or service? “There’s good built-in structures and workflows to get up and running quickly, but it’s also completely customizable with a little bit of Python knowledge as well.”
What do you dislike most about the product or service? “Managing VM templates and OS builds. Very manual process to add and maintain templates and OS builds. Could use some streamlining and automation to make that experience better for administrators.”
What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers? “Start small and simple, and gradually add complexity to the workflows and orchestrations over time. When automating lots of complex tasks, unreliable outside dependencies can cause lots of problems.”
