A new health care technology project will focus on improving nursing care. The plan involves three Aurora Health Care Inc. hospitals; Cerner Corp. and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Cerners health care information software will track details of patient care, letting the university researchers digest the data to determine how nursing care contributes to the length of time patients are in the hospital and the overall cost of care.
