Supply chain management software maker McHugh Software International Inc. announced today the appointment of a new CEO, John G. Jazwiec.
McHugh makes software that helps companies manage warehouse and logistics businesses.
The companys former CEO, Ritch Durheim, retired last month after 23 years with the company. Durheim will remain as chairman of the board.
Jazwiec brings a wealth of enterprise software experience to McHugh. He is the former chairman and CEO at Infoblox Inc., a network software provider. Prior to that Jazwiec founded and served as president and CEO of Nuclio Corp., a managed service provider for network infrastructure.
Jazwiec is joining McHugh at a favorable time. The Waukesha, Wisc.-based company closed out 2001 with a strong fourth quarter. Also in 2001, McHugh introduced its DigitaLogistix product suite that enables companies to achieve real-time enterprise logistics management.
Analysts predicted last year that there would be a rise in demand for the type of supply chain management software that McHugh provides.
However, the slumping economy – in particular the tech sector – has put those expectations on hold.
