Two hot providers of testing and application performance management have teamed up to deliver Web performance insight from development to operations, bringing a unique approach to the concept of DevOps.
SOASTA, a provider of cloud and mobile testing, and New Relic, a software as a service-based (SaaS-based) cloud application performance management provider, announced their partnership and the integration of New Relics application performance management solution on SOASTAs CloudTest platform.
The integrated solution gives developers visibility into the performance of their Web applications throughout the entire application development lifecycle. Developers can immediately begin building performance tests to assure the highest test coverage and tune their apps based on performance diagnostics to ensure the highest level of application performance and availability, all at no charge.
The SOASTA CloudTest platform offers an integrated platform for functional and performance testing. Designed for modern Web and mobile applications testing, the platform offers a comprehensive set of components and access options that enable teams of any size to execute functional and performance tests from inside the lab to live production.
New Relic is an all-in-one Web application performance management provider for the cloud and the data center. Its SaaS solution combines real user monitoring, server monitoring, application monitoring and availability monitoring in a single solution enabling developers and operations teams to monitor, troubleshoot and tune application performance.
Together, New Relic and SOASTA CloudTest can be deployed in minutes, enabling users to build and run functional and performance tests of Web applications, and then monitor, troubleshoot and tune their applications quickly and easily.
The integration of New Relic onto the CloudTest platform allows for a seamless flow of communication and quick exchange of information between teams throughout the dev-test-management process, said Tom Lounibos, CEO of SOASTA, in a statement. Now, it has never been easier for organizations to conduct fast, comprehensive real-time tests with visibility into virtually every aspect of the applications performance, so they can release quicker.

Through the partnership, all SOASTA customers receive New Relic Standard free of charge, and SOASTA CloudTest Lite is available to all New Relic customers. Both products are also available on popular developer and cloud platforms, including VMware CloudFoundry, CollabNet CloudForge, OpenStack and HP Cloud Services. SOASTA customers can begin using New Relic and New Relic customers can download free CloudTest Lite.
